The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has forecast that Vietnam's aviation market will fully recover by the end of 2023.

According to IATA, the total air transport market in Vietnam will reach around 80 million passengers and 1.44 million tons of cargo, marking an increase of 45.4% in passengers and 15% in cargo compared to 2022.

Meanwhile, the domestic aviation market has already recovered and is growing faster than in 2019.

However, there are still challenges that the industry faces such as limited airport infrastructure, instability in fuel prices, shortage of aviation professionals, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Despite the difficulties, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam reported an increase of 13.8% in passenger volume through airports in January 2023, compared to December 2022.

The report also highlights that during the Lunar New Year holiday, passenger volume increased by 58% and cargo volume rose by 28.4% compared to the same period in 2022.

The aviation industry is expected to experience positive growth in 2023, as confirmed by aviation experts.

The Vietnamese government, the Ministry of Transport, and the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam's efforts to remove difficulties and obstacles in the development of the aviation industry have been successful in ensuring stable, efficient, and secure growth in the industry. The aviation market in Vietnam is poised to make a full recovery by the end of 2023.
