When compared to comparable pure EV firms, VinFast obtained an overall indicative Corporate ESG Assessment score of 23.3, the highest ESG grade (i.e. lowest possible risk).
Sustainalytics conducted a comprehensive Corporate ESG Assessment of VinFast, focusing on seven separate ESG categories: carbon - product and services; human capital; product governance; business ethics; carbon-own operations; human rights - supply chain; and corporate governance.
As of July 2022, VinFast received an overall indicative Corporate ESG Assessment score of 23.3, putting the company in the "medium risk category" and in the top ten (9th ranked out of 70) of automobile companies with the highest ESG rating (i.e. lowest potential risk) when compared to other pure EV companies, according to Morningstar Sustainalytics.
