State energy firm subsidiary Petrosetco to distribute Apple products

PetroVietnam General Services JSC said it has become an Apple product distributor in Vietnam, following an agreement signed in May 2020.

The company plans to sell iPhone SE 2020 in the market in June, offering more choices and preferential distribution policies for agents in general as well as bring experience and satisfaction to consumers, Petrosetco (HoSE: PET) said in a statement.

During the past 10 years, PetroVietnam’s subsidiary has been importing and distributing tech products. The firm is among the leading distributors of mobile phones, laptops in the Vietnam market. It distributes products of Samsung, Sony, HTC, Blackberry, Acer, ASUS, DELL, Lenovo as well as copyright Microsoft software.

Petrosetco targets 2020 revenue at VND9,100 billion ($391.8 million), down 9% from 2019, but after-tax profit was projected at VND140 billion ($6 million), up 10% year-on-year, according to the company’s documents prepared for the Annual General Meeting to be organized on June 26.

PET share stock was traded at VND8,780 ($0.37) apiece on Tuesday, up by more than 18% compared to the end of May 2020.
