Vietnam's medical equipment market has been growing steadily at an average rate of 13.1% per year for the past five years, with more than 90% of the market being dependent on imports.

COEX, one of Korea's leading trade fair organizers, has announced that it will partner with a Vietnamese company to organize the "Mekong Medical & Healthcare Expo 2023" in Binh Duong in June. This will be the first time that the Mekong Medical & Healthcare Expo is held in Vietnam.

The exhibition is expected to attract a large number of customers from the healthcare industry in Vietnam and neighboring countries. With a total of 150 local and foreign companies expected to participate in the exhibition, it is hoped that this event will serve as a bridge to help Korean medical equipment companies penetrate the Vietnamese and regional markets.

COEX has been pioneering in the Vietnamese market for 14 years, organizing trade fairs for consumer goods, machinery, and distribution in Vietnam. The company is actively preparing to play a role in supporting Korean healthcare companies to enter foreign markets and promote Korea's achievements in the medical tourism industry.

Lee Dong-gi, CEO of COEX, stated that Vietnam's medical equipment market has been growing continuously at an average rate of 13.1% per year for the past five years, with more than 90% of the market being dependent on imports. Additionally, Vietnam's healthcare spending accounts for 6.5% of its GDP, the highest in ASEAN, making it a potential market for Korean medical equipment companies.

To help Korean companies participating in the exhibition achieve tangible results, the organizers will prepare a variety of solutions, providing opportunities to expand their global network and explore new markets in the ASEAN region.
