Under the agreement, the institute will transfer cultivating, harvesting, and post-harvest technologies with sustainable value to Koina. At the same time, it provides high-quality seedlings and technical support for the farming community associated with Koina.
Koina will build a digital library of technologies, reports, and research from the institute. With the materials, the company will help farmers to access the digital library system to update information, and at the same time organizes training programs for farmers.
Both will develop product quality standards for Vinh Long oranges and products of common citrus trees in the Mekong Delta.
“We are very pleased to have the companionship of the SOFRI in providing the institute's reports and research to farmers. We hope to soon replicate this model in other Koina localities,” said Luu Hoang Khoa, CEO of Koina.

Koina was established in November 2021 and became a pioneer enterprise in building an agricultural ecosystem in Vietnam, including building areas for developing materials and market for agricultural products.
The company currently owns a multi-channel sales network from traditional distribution channels (markets), and modern sales channels (supermarkets, convenience stores) to horeca (hotels, restaurants, food services) in 9 major cities and provinces. The company currently markets more than 1,000 tons of agricultural products per month.
In May, Koina announced that it had received an investment from Glife Technology, a portfolio company of Heliconia Capital Fund - a unit specializing in investing in unlisted businesses under the Singapore government's Temasek.
