Finance giant worth over $6.3 billion founded amid coronavirus crisis

Company name and investor of the business giant have not been disclosed, but the authority said the newly-established enterprise having head-quarter in Hanoi registered to operate in finance, banking, and insurance.
The identity of this business is still a mystery. The enterprise was registered for establishment on January 17.
This could be Vietnam’s biggest company. Currently, there are 5 enterprises with chartered capital of over VND100 trillion, including 3 state-owned enterprises PetroVietnam, EVN and Viettel, and 2 foreign direct invested enterprises Formosa Ha Tinh and Vietnam Beverage.
The chartered capital of the mysterious enterprise accounts for 53.9% of the total newly registered capital of enterprises nationwide in January, the Business Registration Department said in a report.
In January, number of newly established enterprises fell while the registered capital increased and reached the highest level compared to the same period of previous years.
The country had 8,276 newly established enterprises with a registered capital of over $11.7 billion, a decrease of almost 18% in the number of enterprises, an increase of 76.8% in the registered capital compared to the same period in 2019.
