ACB’s 2022 pre-tax profit projected to grow 25% to over VND15 trillion

Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank has targeted VND15 trillion ($658 million) pre-tax profit in 2022, up 25 percent from 2011, according to the bank’s shareholders’ meeting documents.

The Vietnamese lender plans to issue more than 675 million shares to pay dividends at the rate of 25 percent. Shareholders holding 100 existing shares will receive 25 new shares.

After the issuance, the bank's charter capital will increase to more than VND33,774 billion from VND27,019 billion.

ACB targeted total assets and deposits were expected to increase by 11 percent compared to 2021, reaching VND588,187 billion and VND421,897 billion, respectively. Lending was expected to reach VND 398,299 billion. The bad debt ratio will be controlled below 2 percent.

In 2021, ACB's pre-tax profit was at VND12,000 billion, up 25 percent from 2020, beating the whole-year plan by 13 percent.

As of December 31, 2021, ACB's total assets reached VND527,770 billion, an increase of 18.7 percent compared to the beginning of the year. Outstanding loans to customers increased by 16.2 percent to VND 361,913 billion.
