Vietnam adjusted up fuel prices a second consecutive time after using the price stabilization fund, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Finance Ministry.

Accordingly, the retail price of bio-fuel E5 RON 92 will rise by VND882 ($0.03) per litre to below VND12,420 ($0.53) while RON95-III gasoline price will hike by VND890 ($0.03) per litre to a maximum level of VND13,125 ($0.56).

The diesel 0.05S price increased by VND892 ($0.03) per liter to VND10,749 ($0.46) per liter, while kerosene price increased by VND875 ($0.03) per liter to VND8,757 ($0.37) per liter.

The new prices take effect from 3PM on Thursday.

The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the global economy and oil market. Countries are implementing measures to boost production, business, and demand for goods, especially fuel products, leading to growth in energy demand, and gasoline prices tended to increase sharply, according to the ministries.
